San Francisco Police Department Selects Divers Cove for Training

San Francisco Police Department Trains with Divers Cove

The San Francisco police department selected Divers Cove for their NAUI Public Safety Diver Training and Heavy Lift and Recovery Training. This course is designed to teach divers the technical skills as a Public Safety Diver and how to perform under water heavy recovery and lift. The training will focus on teaching divers the proper way to conduct salvage lift operations of boats, automobiles, and other items which exceed the recreational limits of 100 lbs. Classes and training will be on June 2nd and 3rd and will include 16 hours of training and you will be performing a an underwater heavy lift / salvage of a sunken boat.

We are proud to have been chosen to be their training facility. There is additional limited space in this class. So if you are interested in training side by side with the San Francisco Police Department, space is limited, so please call us to RSVP your seat.   The course price to the public is $300 per person. Abalone Orientation Diving Adventure

Don Hansen is a  former PADI MSDT Instructor and long time friend and instructor at Divers Cove. He has been associated with us for over 15 years and with Divers Cove since we opened our doors over 11 years ago. He is offering an "Abalone Orientation & Diving Adventure" to the California North Coast through Divers Cove. He offers this orientation to people that would like to dive for abalone and will show you how and where to dive safely, as well as how to prepare and cook your abalone for a great meal.
Cost $99.00 which includes your wetsuit rental, weight belt, hood, gloves, booties. Gear provided by Divers Cove.

Discover Scuba - Folsom Summer Camp

Don’t Miss Out: Register Now for Summer Camps, Including Discover Scuba

Kids can stay cool this summer with a variety of water activities such as the Discover Scuba Camp held at the Folsom Aquatic Center. Horses, skateboarding, crafts and magic and scuba diving can all be part of your child’s summer vacation right here in Folsom. The Parks and Recreation Department offers dozens of stimulating and fun summer day camps for teens and children as young as three years of age. Details and registration forms are now available on the City’s website, http://www.folsom.ca.us under the Parks and Recreation section. The full summer Activity Guide for all ages will be available online later this month and will arrive in homes in May.
